Skills and attributes required for this role:

Parts Interpreters play an important role within the business, selling parts and accessories to retail and trade customers. Dealing with customers to determine their needs and sourcing parts from suppliers. Parts Interpreters require good customer service skills and must be able to communicate well with people from a range of backgrounds. Time management is important, and you must be able to handle several tasks at one time. Parts Interpreters should be good problem solvers and be able to carry out various administrative tasks. No experience is necessary, and mechanical knowledge is a definite advantage.

Reporting to the Service Manager you will be trained in performing service and repair work for customers and the dealership. You will have one-on-one support and mentoring from experienced technicians.
Daily Duties Include:- Assisting Technicians with repairs and/or maintenance as per the repair order
- Planning each job for maximum efficiency
- Completing basic repairs and maintenance
- Ordering parts (where necessary) from Parts Department
- Building and pre-delivering Motorcycles, 4-Wheelers, Side by Sides, Golf Cars and Power Equipment.
- Completing various tasks around the dealership as necessary.
Mechanical knowledge is a definite advantage, however training will be offered to the right person with the right attitude! You can work as a Trades Assistant without formal qualifications.
This role will allow a passionate individual to kick start their career through a 6-month traineeship as a Trade Assistant, which will progress into a formal apprenticeship for the right candidate.

Being a motorcycle technician is a great career, plus you get to work on a range of really cool bikes. You will be enrolled in a nationally recognised Motorcycle Apprenticeship program AUR30820 to become a fully qualified Motorcycle Technician. A trade’s assistant is generally the lead-in role for this position.

- Commitment to complete formal and on-the-job training over a 4-year period
- A current manual driver’s licence

Motorcycle technicians complete a 4-year nationally recognised apprenticeship course to become qualified in this role. This includes a mix of on-the-job training plus blocks of external learning throughout the 4-year period at a selected training organisation or TAFE.
A qualified Motorcycle Technician generally works on a range of products including on-road and off-road motorcycles, ATVs (4-Wheelers), and Side-by-Side vehicles.
GENERAL WEEKLY STRUCTURE:- 5-day work week (Monday–Friday)
