No experience necessary, just a great attitude and willingness to learn. Full on the job training is on offer, combined with a generous pay structure. Whilst the role does not require experience in this field, we do require someone who is enthusiastic with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. As a key member of our team, you will be fully trained in all aspects the products that we sell, with continued support to assist in establishing your role in the Company.

Skills and attributes required for this role:

  • Providing an excellent level of customer service. 
  • Handling customer inquiries instore, over the phone and via email.
  • Attending trade shows when required.
  • Assisting with the storage, receiving, dispatching and manual handling of stock.
  • Developing strong product knowledge
  • Ability to work autonomously with a positive attitude and support other staff members as required.
  • Ensure the presentation of the store is maintained to a high standard.
  • Have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform deliveries and pickups as required.

Parts Interpreters play an important role within the business, selling parts and accessories to retail and trade customers. Dealing with customers to determine their needs and sourcing parts from suppliers. Parts Interpreters require good customer service skills and must be able to communicate well with people from a range of backgrounds. Time management is important, and you must be able to handle several tasks at one time. Parts Interpreters should be good problem solvers and be able to carry out various administrative tasks. No experience is necessary, and mechanical knowledge is a definite advantage.

Reporting to the Service Manager you will be trained in performing service and repair work for customers and the dealership. You will have one-on-one support and mentoring from experienced technicians.


Daily Duties Include:

 

  • Assisting Technicians with repairs and/or maintenance as per the repair order
  • Planning each job for maximum efficiency
  • Completing basic repairs and maintenance. 
  • Ordering parts (where necessary) from Parts Department
  • Building and pre delivering Motorcycles, 4-Wheelers, Side by Sides, Golf Cars and Power Equipment.
  • Completing various tasks around the dealership as necessary.

Mechanical Knowledge is a definite advantage, however training will be offered to the right person with the right attitude! You can work as a Trades Assistant without formal qualifications. 

This role will allow a passionate individual to kick start their career through a 6-month traineeship as a Trade Assistant, which will progress into a formal apprenticeship for the right candidate.

Being a motorcycle technician is a great career, plus you get to work on a range of really cool bikes. You will be enrolled in a nationally recognised Motorcycle Apprenticeship program AUR30820 to become a fully qualified Motorcycle Technician. A trade’s assistant is generally the lead in role for this position.

Skills and attributes required for this role:

  • A strong interest in motorcycles and mechanical repairs
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent presentation.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge.
  • Commitment to complete formal and on the job training over a 4-year period.
  • A current manual driver’s licence.

Motorcycle technicians complete a 4 year nationally recognised apprenticeship course to become qualified in this role. This includes a mix of on-the-job training, plus blocks of external learning throughout the 4 year period at a selected training organisation or TAFE. . 

A qualified Motorcycle technician generally works on a range of products including On Road and Off-road Motorcycles, ATV’s (4-Wheelers), and Side by Side vehicles. 

GENERAL WEEKLY STRUCTURE -THIS WILL VARY FROM DEALERSHIP TO DEALERSHIP: 

  • 5-day work week (Monday-Friday)
  • Full Time position with reasonable overtime.
  • Saturday morning work is available. Normally worked on a rostered basis with your fellow workmates.
  • On-going manufacturer training is provided, both theory based and practical.
  • Competitive hourly rates - based on your skill set and level of experience.
  • Staff pricing on new and used Motorbikes, Parts, and Accessories.
  • A weekly Tool allowance to enable you to maintain or update your tools as required.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THE ROLE:

  • Current Motorcycle Qualifications.
  • Ability to work on most popular brands of Motorcycles and Side by Sides.
  • Strong Diagnostic skills.
  • A strong knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Hold a current R class motorcycle drivers’ licence, RE class as a minimum.
  • Reliable and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic.
  • Attention to detail and customer first attitude.
  •  Capacity to work in Australia.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Servicing and repairing new and used motorcycles.
  • Perform scheduled and maintenance services, test and adjust mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance.
  • Assembly and Pre-delivery of new motorcycles and fitment of accessories
  • Completion of repair orders for all duties completed, including warranty work.Tyre changing and balancing.
  • Ensuring workshop safety is maintained including maintaining a clean and tidy workstation.
  • Test ride motorcycles adhering to company guidelines.
